10. Halo series


Life changer of Xbox

Halo is a military science fiction first-person shooter video game franchise created by Bungie, released in 2001 exclusively for Microsoft platforms Windows & Xbox. It is one of the best reasons to choose Xbox over a Playstation. Excellent graphics &  sound effects. Player can wander around the fictional world with high-tech weapons & vehicles eliminating aliens. Microsoft Windows personal assistant software is Cortana is a  synthetic intelligence character in the Halo video game series.

9. Tomb Raider series

Tomb Raider is an action-adventure video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. I'm taking about the 2013 reboot that emphasises the reconstructed origins of Lara Croft. New gameplay strategies, realistic animation in an immense world crafted with an usual survival plot & an average background score, this is one of the best action-adventure video game ever made, along with the "Uncharted" series, an another action-adventure masterpiece from Naught Dog.





 8. Assassin's Creed series
Ever wanted to witness major historical moments of mankind by living the life of an assassin? 

Assassin's Creed is a franchise centered on an action-adventure video-game series developed by Ubisoft. Players can play both single & multiplayer assassinating the templars & parkouring through the historical setting. Jesper Kyd's elegant score 'Ezio's Family' is one of the best gaming scores ever written. The total 17  installments brought the developers huge success  & recognition becoming Ubisoft's best selling franchise and one of the 
highest selling video game franchises 
of all time. Ezio's Trilogy (2009- 2011) is my
 favorite in the franchise.








7. Hitman series

Yes, Agent 47. Hitman is a stealth video game series developed by IO Interactive, previously published by Eidos Interactive, and currently published by Square Enix. The first installment was released in 2000, which was well received by Critics because of  it's new style.  Includes 9 installments on various platforms. 47 is paid with missions to assassinate various persons around the world including India. Jesper Kyd's music elevates the gaming experience. Player can decide new statistics for the missions & has the options to customise  weapons on demand. Personally its my favorite stealth game series &  Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002) is my favorite in the franchise.











6. Pac-Man

 Pac-Man is an arcade game developed by Namco and first released in Japan in May 1980. It was created by Japanese video game designer Toru Iwatani. No doubt, this simple & beautiful game deserves a place in this list.
 5. Call of Duty series

Ever wanted to become a soldier & save the world?

Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game franchise. The series began on Microsoft Windows, and later expanded to consoles and handhelds. No doubt, this is the best war game series ever made. The first installment was released in 2003 by published Activision. Even now I remember every single mission from that World War II epic. These war series guarantee players an immense battle experience, new warfares & iconic weapons. Spanning over 14 installments it is the most successful war game series ever made. Call of Duty (2003) is my favorite in the series.




4.  Contra 

Contra is a video game series produced by Konami. The series debuted in 1987 as a coin-operated arcade game simply titled Contra, which was followed by the release of Super Contra in 1988. This was everything for the 80's 90's guys. Even today I have it's 8-bit Nintendo chip, I don't play though.

3. Last of Us


Can video games make you shed tears?


The Last of Us is an action-adventure survival horror video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released in 2013. Players control Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting a teenage girl named Ellie across a post-apocalyptic United States. The main power of the game is the relation between them. From the very first level, players are emotionally bonded with characters. With great gameplay techniques, strong background scores & heart melting sequences, we wish the journey would never have ended.  
Due to increasing popularity & demand it's sequal is being developing by Naughty Dog & a motion picture is also on cards based on this highly successful game.







  2. Grand Theft Auto series

"If you ever played this game, then your childhood is awesome!" That's what memes says.


Grand Theft Auto  is an action-adventure video game series created by David Jones and Mike Dailly and published by Rockstar Games. Admit it, without Vice City & San Andreas our childhood is incomplete. Even now we all know the cheat codes we used to enter. 'ASPIRIN'- for me its the most used cheat code & I know the Vice 'City' map better than my real life city. You should definitely play GTA V  at least one time in your life.  Honestly its is the best open world  game I've ever played so far.

World's most popular & successful video game. Released in 1985 , developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System home console. Playing this with my brother is one of the sweetest experiences I've ever had in my life.
Over 310 million copies of games in the Super Mario series have been sold worldwide, as of September 2015, making it the best-selling video game series in history.
